Hello, my name is James Annino and I am a freshman here at UCONN. I currently am a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate with the hopes of pursuing a job in Optical Engineering. I am a 2013 graduate of Vinal Technical High School, from the Computer Aided Drafting and Design shop. As of now, I am a part of Engineering Ambassadors, Engineers without Borders, and I am also of brother of Beta Theta Pi. Through Engineering Ambassadors, I have been able to take the role as the Engineering Prospective Student Tours Leader, which entails the duties of learning about every single Engineering major on campus, and also contacting many people to arrange these tours. I am very involved on campus, but I am still able to heavily utilize the amazing help on campus, including the late library hours and the Q-center tutoring hours. The transition from the CTHSS to UCONN was the hardest thing I have done, but, with the help of those around me, I have gladly been able to make that transition seamless.
